Founder
Edwin Van-Otoo, Jr. is the founder of 365 Brothers Foundation, Inc. He is a loving husband, a proud father, a well-respected professional engineer, and a supportive tutor and mentor to the youth.
Edwin received his Bachelor of Science degrees in Civil Engineering and Architectural Engineering from Drexel University. He also received his Master’s in Engineering Management from Drexel University and works at an engineering firm as a Project Manager.
As the oldest of four children, who were raised by a single mother that immigrated to the United States from Ghana, Edwin watched his mother put herself through nursing school while working to provide for her children. Raised in West Philadelphia and a product of the Philadelphia school system, Edwin has carried on his mother’s work ethic in pursuit of his own goals. Although Edwin’s father was not actively present in his life, it showed him that other men such as uncles, neighbors, friends, teachers, and mentors can also impact your life for the better. Edwin recognizes the profound impact of the individuals whom he considers confidantes and mentors, in his life today and understands their contributions to his success.
When he is not spending time with his family or working, Edwin enjoys tutoring children and young adults in math. His passion for mentorship and providing resources to the youth in the Philadelphia area, has motivated him to create a nonprofit that champions resource sharing in the spirit of reciprocity, hence the formation of 365 Brothers Foundation, Inc.
365 Brothers Foundation achieves Edwin’s definite purpose in life of serving God, his family, and the community by encouraging and motivating people to help themselves to be a blessing to someone else.
